Qualifications
June Isaacson Kailes, Disability Policy Consultant,
has a 30 year history of providing quality disability-related education
and training. The ADA is the newest and most comprehensive law passed
in recent years. The Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the California
Fair Employment Practices Act and others which have similar goals have
been around much longer. June educates groups about compliance to
and enforcement of disability rights laws and has also played a role in
constructing these laws through the lobbying and regulation writing process
(see biographical statement).
Given her active involvement in the
passage of ADA and the current updating and revising of its Access Guidelines,
June . understands the intent behind its regulations. In addition
to providing hundreds of hours of ADA training, she has also successfully
taken and completed over 120 hours of comprehensive ADA training including
88 hours sponsored by the U.S. Equal Economic Opportunity Commission.
She is a member of the national ADA Training and Implementation Network.
Disability Perspective
The best way to understand and comply with
the ADA is to receive input from qualified individuals with disabilities.
June and her associates offer realistic and practical answers to ADA implementation
questions from the users' and the employers' perspective.
